Finishing Out Week 5

My fifth week of training is complete. It was the most confidence building week, as well as the biggest miles week with 27.6 miles under my belt for the week. First of all, I'm proud of that.

Wednesday and Thursday were quality runs. Wednesday I ran with my work friend and we took it a mile further this time going 4.8. I was feeling it (it being my unfit-ness) on this run actually, but I somehow also felt strong (?) Thursday was a super easy 3 mile run. This was confidence boosting because it felt so easy. It was the first time in my training that a run felt easy. I was going extremely easy, but the fact that it was almost effortless for me to run/jog 3 miles is a win to me.

Friday, today, was off. My legs needed a rest day. I feel ancy (sp?) for my run in the morning, but I completely enjoyed this day off of training!

Week 5 is a keeper. A strong long run on Saturday followed up by a couple more longer runs makes me feel like I am continuing to progress. I like it.

I am getting up unbelievably early for me (7AM) to run with a BlueMile group in the morning. I hope its a good run and worth the effort it will take me to put my feet on the floor and get out of bed. Honestly, that will be the hard part about tomorrow for me, the run will be just fine...Goodnight!
