Right after work I hit the Monon Trail with my friend. We did the same out and back - 3.8 miles according to Google Maps. We must've had a quicker pace because we completed it faster this time. Last week we completed it in 35:16. This week we were done by approximately 33:30. You know me, I love that progress!
We did stop at the half way point again to get water and stretch for a few minutes. That allowed me to recover, but it was well worth it. I was glistening profusely.
It was so nice to have someone to talk to during the run. I miss that. I think I am going to have to look for a team to join or something. I feel like I am going to need some people to push me. I know I need some people to learn from. Most importantly, I would really like to have some people to experience this training with.
Tonight is the night I have been waiting for! My 9 month old, twin nieces are coming to town! Alex's brother and his husband are visiting and bringing their adorable daughters! I cannot wait to get to spend time with them! Because of this, I might have to jump on the trainer tonight and log some spinning. The knees and the top of my foot think this would be acceptable. I want to do some type of training, but I will never run in the dark. I'll jump on the trainer in the basement and watch TV if its dark when we get home...
Sidenote: I am an avid Asics lover.I have had 6 pairs or more of Asics and I love them! That being said, I saw the new Asics commercial last night. I thought it was a commercial about saying no to meth or something. It was just way over the top and could have been much more tactfully done. It was downright gross really. Oh well...you can't please everyone I suppose!
