My time keeps dropping, which I love :) 4 miles in 33:53! Below 8:30 pace! I ran the first 2 miles in 16:39, 8:20 pace, then must've slowed for the last 2 (after I turned around). I'm cool with it. I did not feel like I was running that hard, just sorta pushing. Honestly, my fitness was lacking and my arms were feeling tired. My legs still haven't hurt or burned in the least - but there are no hills to speak of. I need my heart to pump some more blood, and I probably need to do more pushups ( I hate them with a passion). I'm whipping myself into shape though. I can't wait to weigh myself on August 1 (one month after starting) to see if I have lost any weight. Weight doesn't matter to me, but I have been working hard and wonder what it is doing to my scale numbers. I can feel my muscles toning up and it appears they are a little more uncovered, which is fantastic!
I have a run tonight with a friend, the same friend as before :) I am just putting in more miles this week. I might trade a run for a ride one day, we'll see :)
A couple songs from my running playlist I have really enjoyed recently:
- Mushaboom - Feist (doesn't seem like a good training song, but I really like the beat/sound for running)
- Rumour Has It - Adele (her voice is like art)
- Call and Return - Hellogoodbye (this song/band is too much fun)
- Monster Hospital - Metric (something about this makes me go fast)
