I completed 3.7 miles before I had to stop tonight. I didn't have to stop because of my body, I could have kept going, but I had to stop so I could go teach swim lessons. Just an update: they went very well :)
I had planned on doing around 6 miles, so I've got a longer run Friday to get the 30 in for the week. 7.1 to be exact. In addition to a longer run Friday, that puts me at 2 longer runs in a row (Friday & Saturday). At this point, I am planning 8.5 miles on Saturday...
This could potentially be good for my training. To run on slightly tired legs will increase performance when running on fresh legs. This thought alone will propel me through the next 2 days :)
In regards to my pace: I am easing into under 8:30 pace! I seem to be hitting my miles in the 8:20's more & more often. I like.
In regards to dinner: Alex and I have had 2 good food days :) Last night, he grilled white (alfredo) pizza with grilled chicken and turkey bacon - delicious. With that we had mixed herb salad with the lemon/evoo dressing that we mix up & walnuts. Tonight, we got takeout from a place called Al-basha's. Alex got gyro's and I got a chicken touak (?) sandwich. We got an order of their hummus & pita and baklava as well. It was all tasty. We'll be going back in the future. It is walkable distance, so Kenda went with us :)
