Friday's run was a huge success! 7.2 miles to be Garmin exact bringing me to the nice round number of 30.1 on the week. Nice effort, self, nice effort! The run was confidence boosting. I moved pretty quick...
Mile 1: 8:04
Mile 2: 8:22
Mile 3: 7:57
Mile 4: 8:28
Mile 5: 7:45
Mile 6: 8:13
Mile 7: 8:13
Total time 59 minutes and 55 seconds! I meant to push on 3 and 5. I also pushed slightly during the last 0.2 to come in under 1 hour. If I am going to run my race fast, I have to run at a fast pace during training. Needless to say, I am very proud of this run. Mile 4 was the best because I felt totally recovered after 1 mile. I was worried it would take longer to recover from the effort of the previous mile, it honestly felt easy. I plan on doing at least 1 workout like this in the coming week.
Saturday was a flop. I rested. Long run on Monday or Tuesday (8.5 to 9). Today I did 4 slow miles with Alex. It was nice to run with him and talk about the weekend in Bloomington we have coming up :)
33 miles on the roster for this week. Also, an August Roundup and weigh in are in order soon. For now, sleep - goodnight!
