Anniversary means Food for Frists

I'll cut right to the chase...I haven't ran since last Wednesday. I'm neither happy or upset about this. It is what it is. I'm about to hit it hard...soon...

I'd rather post about this weekend. I had 4 days off to spend with my husband. We celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary in Bloomington, where we had our rehearsal dinner at Farm Bloomington and reception  at the Tudor Room in the Union exactly a year ago this weekend. It was a great weekend. We ate more food than I would have ever thought possible. We got out on one 19 mile ride that included 3-4 decent hills. (Tour de Sewer for those who know Bloomington routes.) We had hoped to ride Saturday and Sunday as well, but did not. We took in the art fair on Saturday and sweat to death in the 100 degree weather.

To enjoy Labor Day in Indianapolis we slept in, took Kenda to the dog park (twice), shopped for a headboard, and relaxed.

It has been a great year full of blessings and happiness. Alex makes my life complete. I look forward to many more years with him :)

For the record, I am officially becoming a "foodie."

And now, the food:

Alex's perfect FARM Bloomington bison burger and chili fries

My FARM Bloomington coconut, cilantro & jalepeno ribs, potato salad, and Chef Daniel's own cole slaw

Alex's Scholar's Inn sea scallops, cheddar cheese grits, and asian cole slaw

My Scholar's Inn medium rare new york strip, horseradish mashed potatoes, and roasted asparagus

Our year old buttercream frosting, rasberry cream filled wedding cake :)

One portion of Scholar's Inn biscuits & gravy and fried potatoes (we both had a plate of this)

*For our anniversary, deliciousness ensued.*
